Client Terms of Use

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to FireRiskQuote (fireriskquote.co.uk). These Terms and Conditions set out the legally binding terms that apply to your use of our platform. By accessing or using FireRiskQuote, you agree to comply with these terms.

2. Our Service

FireRiskQuote operates as a lead generation and comparison platform. We facilitate connections between clients seeking fire risk assessment services and independent, qualified fire risk assessors within our network. We may pass your enquiry to one or more assessors to obtain quotations on your behalf.

We make no guarantee as to the number of responses, the quality of quotations, or the suitability of any assessor introduced through our platform. All quotes are provided on a no-obligation basis.

3. Client Obligations

• Accuracy of information: You must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information about your premises, requirements and contact details.
• Due diligence: You are responsible for verifying the qualifications, competence, insurance and suitability of any assessor before engaging their services.
• Direct contracting: You will contract directly with the assessor you appoint. FireRiskQuote is not a party to that contract.
• Communications: You agree to communicate promptly and professionally with assessors who respond to your quote request.

4. No Fee for Clients

The FireRiskQuote service is provided free of charge to clients. There is no cost to you for submitting a quote request or for receiving quotations from assessors in our network. You are under no obligation to accept any quote provided.

5. Payment for Fire Risk Assessment Services

When you appoint a fire risk assessor through our platform, you contract directly with that assessor. You are solely responsible for agreeing the scope of work, fee structure, and payment terms with the assessor.

FireRiskQuote recommends that assessors obtain full payment before releasing the completed Fire Risk Assessment report. Where permitted by the agreed terms, an assessor may withhold the completed report until payment has been received in full.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FireRiskQuote shall not be liable for:

• The quality, accuracy, or completeness of any fire risk assessment provided by an independent assessor
• The pricing, fees, or charges levied by any assessor
• Any loss, damage, or injury arising from the services provided by an assessor
• Any commercial dispute between a client and an assessor
• The availability, accuracy, or reliability of the platform

7. Data Protection

We take your privacy seriously. The personal information you provide to us will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our platform, you consent to such processing and warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Service Provider (Assessor) Terms

1. Eligibility and Requirements

• Hold relevant fire safety qualifications (e.g., IFE, IFSM, NEBOSH or equivalent)
• Maintain appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance
• Comply with all applicable fire safety legislation and professional standards
• Provide services in a professional, competent and timely manner
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

2. Client Introductions

FireRiskQuote may introduce you to potential clients seeking fire risk assessment services. All introductions are made on a non-exclusive basis, and you are not obliged to accept any lead provided.

You contract directly with the client for the provision of fire risk assessment services. FireRiskQuote is not a party to that contract and assumes no responsibility for the performance of any services.

3. Commissions

No commission shall be payable in respect of the first engagement secured through the Platform between the Service Provider and a Client.

The Service Provider agrees that any subsequent services provided to a Client introduced via the Platform shall be subject to a commission equal to 10% of all fees invoiced or received.

This obligation shall apply to any services provided within a period of 12 months from the date of the initial introduction.

For the avoidance of doubt, any services provided to a Client introduced via the Platform shall be deemed to arise from that introduction, whether contracted directly or indirectly.

The Service Provider shall maintain accurate records of all work undertaken for Introduced Clients and shall provide FireRiskQuote with such records upon request. FireRiskQuote reserves the right to audit such records to ensure compliance with these terms.

4. Client Payment and Report Release

Service Providers are responsible for agreeing payment terms directly with Clients. FireRiskQuote recommends requesting full payment before releasing the completed Fire Risk Assessment report.

FireRiskQuote is not responsible for collecting fees, pursuing unpaid invoices, or resolving payment disputes between Service Providers and Clients.

5. Liability and Indemnity

Service Providers are solely responsible for the quality, accuracy, and completeness of the fire risk assessments they provide. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FireRiskQuote from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your services.

6. Data Protection

You shall process all personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. You shall not use any client data for purposes other than providing the requested fire risk assessment services.
